Kavitha George is a strong advocate of being a force for impactful social change. With over fifteen years of leadership experience across sectors, she is a training and operations specialist, entrepreneur, and mum, who describes herself as a pragmatic dreamer, passionate about creating an inclusive and sustainable ecosystem for children with special needs. Kavitha is the Founder & Managing Director of Communicare Education and Training. Kavitha and her team at Communicare Education is working to educate kids with special needs by incorporating best practices from across the globe that empowers parents, educators, and therapists. At Communicare, the major focus is to ensure every child is provided with an equal, safe, and positive environment for learning and that every child is meaningfully integrated into mainstream school, through our unique School Readiness Program. Kavitha is also working with kids with mobility challenges through the concept of Mind Body Awareness. This intervention program is done in partnership with Spiral Praxis, Toronto, Canada. She is also focused on imparting need-based training programs to empower parents, educators, and caregivers of children with special needs. Kavitha is the Maharashtra State Coordinator for Organization for Rare Diseases, India (ORDI). She is a TEDx Speaker. She is an Internationally Certified 'Heal Your Life™️ Workshop Leader. She believes in the power of positive thoughts to create enriching experiences in life. Kavitha is a trained professional in Special Needs Sector and is a certified Counselor. She has numerous certifications which include a Diploma in Learning Disorder Management and Child Psychology (College of allied Educators, Singapore), Certification in HANDLE Introductory Courses, Level 1 & 2 conducted by Compassionate Therapy & Training Centre (Australia), and Completed training at the Glen Doman Intensive Training Program for Parents conducted by IAHP (What To Do for a Brain Injured Child), Certification in Adapted Yoga (Spiral Praxis, Toronto), Certification Course in Autism Movement Therapy, Level II. Completed Oral Placement Therapy Level 1 & 2. She has been an evangelist of alternative therapies like Music, Dance, and Art therapy for children, both, mainstream, and kids with special needs. She has organized various workshops and training programs for kids, teachers, and parents at schools and other forums. Kavitha is a trained dancer and dance teacher in multiple dance forms and conducts and practices Dance and Movement as an integral part of intervention and training process for kids and young adults.
